Explanation:
Daily Meditation, day 25 of 30 days of the month of March, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The Name of the Lord God’ – The Lord of hosts
One of the names of God in the Bible is the Lord of Hosts with alternatively similarity to Lord Almighty, Lord who rules over all. This means the Lord sovereign, almighty power as the Commander of all spiritual (angelic) and earthly armies. The Lord of Hosts first appeared in the Bible in 1 Samuel 1:3 and verse 11 while Hannah was making petition to God to look favourably to her for a child as she was barren.
So let Your name be magnified forever, saying, ‘The Lord of hosts is the God over Israel.’ And let the house of Your servant David be established before You (2 Samuel 7:26).
As we have heard, so we have seen. In the city of the Lord of hosts, In the city of our God: God will establish it forever. Selah (Psalm 48:8).
Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah (Psalm 24:9-10).
“Behold, God is mighty, but despises no one; He is mighty in strength of understanding (Job 36:5).
For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality nor takes a bribe (Deuteronomy 10:17).
May the blessing of the Lord rest upon you and may the Lord grant us such grace and anointing of the Overcomer and prosperity in the new year. Praise the Lord.
May the Lord move with His great power and let all His enemies be scattered.
