Scripture:
I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the Lord, who call you by your name, am the God of Israel (Isaiah 45:3).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 23 of 31 days of the month of August we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic on ‘Exceedingly great and precious promises’– Treasures.
God of Israel – Our Father has promised His people to give them the tresures which include the Treasures of darkness, the hidden riches of secret places. These are spiritual riches and deep truths that God conceals not to keep from people, but to reserve for those who seek Him. These treasures include profound wisdom, divine peace, and an intimate knowledge of Christ.
“Thus says the Lord to His anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have held—
To subdue nations before him and loose the armor of kings, to open before him the double doors, So that the gates will not be shut: ‘I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the Lord, Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel (Isaiah 45: 1- 3).
That their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, [b]both of the Father and of Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Colossians 2:2-3).
