Explanation:
Daily Meditation, day 18 of 30 days of the month of March, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The Name of the Lord God’ – Alpha and Omega.
“Alpha and Omega” is a name for God and Jesus as in the Book of Revelation, representing the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, meaning the “Beginning and the End”. This explains the attribute of God’s eternity, omnipotence, and comprehensive role as Creator and Sustainer, and encompassing all time.
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty (Revelation 1:8).
And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts (Revelation 21:6).
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last,” and, “What you see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia: to Ephesus, to Smyrna, to Pergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea (Revelation 1:11).
It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter.
May you encounter the names of Lord in the name of Jesus Christ (Proverbs 25:2).
