Scripture:

And the child Samuel grew in stature, and in favour both with the Lord and men (I Samuel 2:26).

Explanation:

In today Daily Meditation, day 16 of 31 days of the month of August we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic on ‘Exceedingly great and precious promises’– Favour.

The Lord God of Israel has promised His people that they will receive favour. Favour is an unmerited offer of goodness when you are not qualified. The Bible showed to us the significance of favour to make people exceptional in life. The favour of God is for life. The favour of God upon Samuel pushed him to greatness in Israel. Favour was upon Joseph and gave him promotion in the land of Egypt to a position of Prime Minister. You must exercise faith by giving attention to the word and exact power over the contrite forces of darkness that will creep in during the unguarded hour.

And the child Samuel grew in stature, and in favour both with the Lord and men (I Samuel 2:26).

But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison (Genesis 39:21).

And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and men (Luke 2:52).

For His anger is but for a moment, His favour is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5).

May you receive the portion of His inheritance in your life in the name of Jesus Christ.
