Day 12 of 30 days: ‘The Name of the Lord God’ – Jehovah-Jireh

And Abraham called the name of the place, The-Lord-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, “In the Mount of the Lord it shall be provided”(Genesis 22:14).

Explanation:

Daily Meditation, day 12 of 30 days of the month of March, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The Name of the Lord God’ – Jehovah-Jireh

Jehovah-Jireh, means “The Lord will provide,” This is one of the names of God in the Old Testament, famously used in Genesis 22. God revealed by Abraham in Genesis 22:14 after God provided a ram as a substitute sacrifice in place of his son, Isaac. It reveals God’s power and ability to make provision as the ultimate provider of both our physical and spiritual needs. In fact, Jesus Christ demonstrated this ability as He supernaturally fed a multitude of five thousands men.

And Abraham called the name of the place, The-Lord-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, “In the Mount of the Lord it shall be provided”(Genesis 22:14).

Then the Angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time out of heaven, and said: “By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son— blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice” (Genesis 22:15 -18).

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures;

He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake (Psalm 23:1-4).

May you encounter the names of Lord in the name of Jesus Christ.

May the blessing of the Lord rest upon you and may the Lord grant us such grace and anointing of the Overcomer and prosperity in the new year. Praise the Lord.

May the Lord move with His great power and let all His enemies be scattered.
