Explanation:
Daily Meditation, day 26 of 28 days of the month of February, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The Anointing of the Lord’– The anointing takes away burden.
In today Daily Meditation, we will be meditating on the Anointing of the Lord and especially on the Anointing of God that brings restoration. Restoration is God’s act of healing, redeeming, and returning broken people or situations to a state of wholeness. There are many cases in the Bible where people were restored by being obedient to God’s instruction especially through the mouth of His prophet. Naaman was a commander of the army of the king of Syria, and was a great and honourable man despite all his credentials and victory, he remained diseased from a lepromatous condition. Through his Maid servant he was referred to Prophet Elisha for his healing. He was initially arrogant when he was asked to bath in River Jordan.
And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, “Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored to you, and you shall be clean (2 Kings 5:10).
Similarly, the woman with the issue of blood was restored by touching the garment of Jesus Christ.
“But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction” (Mark 5: 33-34).
The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him – the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord (Isaiah 11:2).
May you encounter the power of the Highest to make you supernatural in the name of Jesus Christ.
May the blessing of the Lord rest upon you and may the Lord grant us such grace and anointing of the Overcomer and prosperity in the new year. Praise the Lord.
May the Lord move with His great power and let all His enemies be scattered.
