Explanation:
Daily Meditation, day 18 of 31 days of the month of August, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The Lord – The Healer’ – Healings during the Acts of Apostles.
The Lord Jesus Christ healed and delivered many during His earthly Ministry. He even assured us that whoever believe in Him will also do greater works than this. He thought the disciples how to heal and gave them power over diseases and to cast out demons. His disciples received the Power and went everywhere healings the sick. The power of the Holy Spirit and Fire was evident and the disciples received same power and glory to go and heal the sick.
And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon’s Porch. 13 Yet none of the rest dared join them, but the people esteemed them highly. 14 And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, 15 so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them. 16 Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed (Acts 5: 12-16).
Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them (Acts 19:11).
