Having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace (Ephesians 2:15).
Explanation:
Daily Meditation, day 17 of 31 days of the month of March, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘Jesus Christ – The Great Deliverer’ – The enmity is abolished.
It will not be hidden to us anymore that the law of commandments contained in ordinances was an enmity to us but Christ came to abolish the enmity in His flesh. The law says you are guilty but abolishing the law means we are no more guilty. It was then good that Christ came to give us access to the Father. Evil arrow has a purpose and to steal, to kill and destroy.
For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity (Ephesians 2:14 – 16).
having wiped out the [i]handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it (Colossians 2:14-15).
