Explanation:
Daily Meditation, day 16 of 31 days of the month of August, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The Lord – The Healer’ – Healings during Jesus’s Ministry Part 1.
The power of the Holy Spirit and Fire are pivot in the Ministry of Jesus Christ especially for Healings and to cast out demons in His name. His disciples received the Power and went everywhere healings the sick. The power of the Holy Spirit and Fire was evident and gave the disciples same power and glory to go and heal the sick. Jesus showed that He has power to forgive, power to heal and to deliver from evil afflictions. Despite an attempt to be tempted of the devil but the devil departed with futility.
Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region (Luke 4:14).
Then they were all amazed and spoke among themselves, saying, “What a word this is! For with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come out”(Luke 4:36).
Jesus answered and said to them, “Are you not therefore mistaken, because you do not know the Scriptures nor the power of God? (Mark 12:24).
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. And we are witnesses of all things which He did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom they killed by hanging on a tree (John 10:38).
