Explanation:
Daily Meditation, day 11 of 31 days of the month of November, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The God of power’ – The exceeding greatness of His power.
Paul was writing to the people in Colosse to explain the spiritual wisdom within the power of Christ. His power healed the sicks, delivered from bondage and affliction, casts out devil and provides the blessing of Abraham. The same power is far above all principality and power and might and dominion. By His blood and His resurrected power He defeated powers of darkness and rendered them disarmed.
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come (Ephesians 1:17 – 21).
I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire (Matthew 3:10-11).
For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him (Colossians 1:16).
Jesus Christ gave the disciples power and authority over unclean spirits to cast them out and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kind of disease. The blood of Jesus Christ along with the Fire of God are powerful weapons against wickedness.
May the Lord move with His great power and let all His enemies be scattered.
