You shall anoint them, as you anointed their father, that they may minister to Me as priests; for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations (Exodus 40:15).
Explanation:
Daily Meditation, day 11 of 28 days of the month of February, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The Anointing of the Lord’– Anointing to minister.
In the course of this month we will be looking at the Anointing of the Lord and today we will be meditating on the scriptures relating to the Anointing to minister. God or rather the Holy Spirit is He Who gives the grace and anointing to minister in the level of the grace granted.
You shall anoint them, as you anointed their father, that they may minister to Me as priests; for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations (Exodus 40:15).
You did not anoint My head with oil, but this woman has anointed My feet with fragrant oil (Luke 7:46).
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.” (Isaiah 61:1-3).
