Explanation:
Daily Meditation, day 10 of 31 days of the month of August, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The Lord – The Healer’ – The New Covenant
There were a number of the old covenants – with Noah, with Abraham and Moses. We are under the new covenant. The new covenant was established by the sacrificial offering of the Lord Jesus Christ. As a symbol of the Covenant Jesus gave the Holy Communion through the Holy Communion. In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me (1 Corinthians 11:25).
The blood of Jesus brings health and healings to our body, soul and spirit. Jesus Christ died for us and took our sins upon Himself.
That at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world (Ephesian 2:12).
And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance (Hebrews 9:15).
Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage (Hebrews 2:14-15).
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:8-10).
