Explanation:
Daily Meditation, day 08 of 31 days of the month of January, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The blessing of the Lord’ – The power to subdue
Today we will meditate on the scriptures on the blessing of the Lord but in particular we will focus on the power to subdue. The battles on this earth can be physical and spiritual in nature. Often the latter is actually more subtle than the former as many are faced with spiritual challenges of one type or the other. May you gain spiritual understanding and wisdom to know the source of your challenge. One of such blessing is encapsulated in the power to fill the earth and subdue it.
To Adam:
Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth” (Genesis 1:28).
Now the whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled together at Shiloh, and set up the tabernacle of meeting there. And the land was subdued before them (Joshua 18:1).
Thus Midian was subdued before the children of Israel, so that they lifted their heads no more. And the country was quiet for forty years in the days of Gideon (Judges 8:28).
May the blessing of the Lord rest upon you and may the Lord grant us such grace and anointing of the Overcomer and prosperity in the new year. Praise the Lord.
May the Lord move with His great power and let all His enemies be scattered.
