Explanation:
Daily Meditation, day 03 of 28 days of the month of February, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The Anointing of the Lord’– The Spirit of the Lord.
In the course of this month we will be looking at the Anointing of the Lord.
In the old Testament the people that were anointed were the prophets, priests and Kings.
The Anointing is by the Spirit of the Lord. The oil is a symbol of the anointing.
It was the Spirit of the Lord that came upon Saul and enabled him to prophesy with the Prophets.
Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man (1 Samuel 10:6).
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives
and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are [j]oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord (Luke 4:18 -19).
Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region( Luke 4:14).
May you encounter the power of the Highest to make you supernatural in the name of Jesus Christ.
May the blessing of the Lord rest upon you and may the Lord grant us such grace and anointing of the Overcomer and prosperity in the new year. Praise the Lord.
May the Lord move with His great power and let all His enemies be scattered.
