Scripture
Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, And the Lord listened and heard them; so a book of remembrance was written before Him
For those who fear the Lord And who meditate on His name (Malachi 3:16)
Explanation
In the last four days we are looking at what are those things desirable to meditate upon rather than yourself as a believer. Today we look at another interesting aspect of meditating on the Name of God. The names of Almighty God have spanned from the Genesis to Revelation. From time of creation, He was the God the creator (Elohim) and when He had an encounter with Abraham as the Almighty God, to Moses as the God of Abraham, God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. He revealed Himself to Moses and Israelites as the Jehovah. These are examples of His name as Jehovah.
Jehovah-Rapha, The Lord our Healer – (Ex 15:26)
Jehovah-Nissi, the Lord our Banner [or Refuge] – (Ps 20:5)
Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord our Provider – (Gen 22:8-14))
Jehovah-Ra’ah, the Lord our Shepherd – (Gen 48:15; Ps 23:-11; 1 Pet 2:25)
As Christians, God is our Lord and Saviour which is Himself Jesus Christ.
In scripture text for today, it is an instruction to meditate on His Name. This is because the name of God is a Mighty Tower and the righteous run into it, and they are saved. Glory be to God.
Stay tune as we shall continue further tomorrow. Remain uncommonly blessed.
Confession
Thank you, Lord, for today. I am a child of You Father. In Your law I meditate day and night. Therefore, make me like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, my leaf also shall not wither; and whatever I do shall prosper in the name of Jesus. I am in good health as my soul prosper every day of my life. Glory be to God.
Further scriptures for meditation:
Moreover, God said to Moses, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: ‘The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations.” (Exodus 3:15, NKJV)
