Explanation:
Daily Meditation, day 30 of 31 days of the month of August, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘God, The Great Deliverer’ – Roll away the reproach.
Reproach is a device of the enemy to disapprove your work. Have you ever felt the effect of any disapproval or disappointment after your own effort and assurance of success?
There are many instances of men who were reproached by the enemy in the scriptures and they cried out for Divine help and deliverance.
The treatment of people of Israel in Egypt in slavery was a reproach. Goliath was a boastful enemy of Israel and he reproached David.
Then the Lord said to Joshua, “This day I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you.” Therefore the name of the place is called Gilgal to this day (Joshua 5:9).
Then David spoke to the men who stood by him, saying, “What shall be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God? (1 Samuel 17:26).
And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen! (2 Timothy 4:18).
Jesus Christ gave the disciples power and authority over unclean spirits to cast them out and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kind of disease. The blood of Jesus Christ along with the Fire of God are powerful weapons against wickedness.
May the ‘God, The Great Deliverer’ be your God in the month and grant you all your heart desires, favour grace and the blessing.
