Explanation:
Daily Meditation, day 21 of 31 days of the month of August, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘God, The Great Deliverer’ – Deliverance from evil spirits.
There is power of God for exorcism – casting out demons. This was solely attributed to deliverance but as we already learned deliverance extended beyond this scope. Jesus Christ gave the disciples power and authority over unclean spirits to cast them out and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kind of disease.
And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease (Matthew 10:1).
Then they were all amazed and spoke among themselves, saying, “What a word this is! For with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come out.” (Luke 4:36).
Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed (Acts 5:16).
But you shall destroy their altars, break their sacred pillars, and cut down their wooden images (Exodus 34:13).
May the ‘God, The Great Deliverer’ be your God in the month and grant you all your heart desires, favour grace and the blessing.
