Explanation:
Daily Meditation, day 07 of 31 days of the month of August, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘God, The Great Deliverer’ – Jesus Christ is the Deliverer.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the Healer and the Deliverer. During the earthly Ministry not only did He healed and delivered many, He also gave power to the His disciples to do the same great works. In the presence of the Lord, the Spirit of the Lord manifests with healings, deliverance, signs, wonders and miracle. The greatest deliverance is that from the power of sins and deaths.
When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses” (Matthew 8:16-17).
He has shown strength with His arm; He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He has put down the mighty from their thrones, and exalted the lowly (Luke 1:51-52).
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19).
Then He healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons; and He did not allow the demons to speak, because they knew Him (Mark 1:34).
Remember His marvellous works which He has done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth (1 Chronicles 16:12).
May the ‘God, The Great Deliverer’ be your God in the month and grant you all your heart desires, favour grace and the blessing.
