Day 19 of 30 days: ‘The God of Glory’ – From shame to the restoration of glory
by James
The more they increased, the more they sinned against Me; I will change their glory into shame (Hosea 4:7).
How long, O you sons of men, will you turn my glory to shame? How long will you love worthlessness and seek falsehood? Selah but know that the Lord has set apart for Himself him who is godly; the Lord will hear when I call to Him (Psalm 4:2-3).

Daily Meditation, day 19 of 30 days of the month of August, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The God of Glory’ – From shame to the restoration of glory.
The glory of a man is an essential virtue required for success and fulfilment in life. It is important to know that just as the Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy, his ultimate target is the glory of a man. Rather than glory, the opposite can ensue such as shame. Sin is a known source of shame as it gives room for operation of darkness. Thanks be to God for sending Our Lord Jesus Christ to come and restore that which was lost at the Garden of Eden.
How long, O you sons of men, will you turn my glory to shame? How long will you love worthlessness and seek falsehood? Selah but know that the Lord has set apart for Himself him who is godly; the Lord will hear when I call to Him (Psalm 4:2-3).
The more they increased, the more they sinned against Me; I will change their glory into shame (Hosea 4:7).
You are filled with shame instead of glory. You also—drink! And be exposed as uncircumcised! The cup of the Lord’s right hand will be turned against you,
And utter shame will be on your glory. For the violence done to Lebanon will cover you, and the plunder of beasts which made them afraid, because of men’s blood and the violence of the land and the city, and of all who dwell in it (Habakkuk 2:16-17).
And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me (John 17:22-23).
Further Scriptures:
Grace, mercy, and peace will be with you from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love (2 John 1:3).
