Explanation:
Daily Meditation, day 30 of 30 days of the month of June, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The signs of God’ – He commands the unclean spirits, and they come out.
Jesus Christ was the Word of God made flesh. He distinguished Himself from the other Pharisees (Teachers) as His word carries power and authority. His word carries the authority for exorcism as demons were casted out. In an encounter of a man who had a spirit of an unclean demon with Jesus Christ right there in the Synagogue, the spirit cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!”
But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!” And when the demon had thrown him in their midst, it came out of him and did not hurt him. Then they were all amazed and spoke among themselves, saying, “What a word this is! For with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come out.” (Luke 4:34-36)
And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”(Mark 16:17-18).
For the Lord will rise up as at Mount Perazim, He will be angry as in the Valley of Gibeon— That He may do His work, His awesome work, And bring to pass His act, His unusual act (Isaiah 28:21).
