Explanation:
Daily Meditation, day 26 of 30 days of the month of June, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The signs of God’ – When God hardens your enemy’s heart
A wicked man hardens his face, But as for the upright, he establishes his way (Proverbs 21:29). This is the irony of the wicked as it leads to their actions that provoke the anger of the Lord and without mercy. The example of this case is when the Lord asked Pharaoh to let the people of Israel be freed from bondage and slavery. He exercised stubbornness and the Lord harden his heart before God was exalted through His signs and wonders.
And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and multiply My signs and My wonders in the land of Egypt (Exodus 7:3).
And they did so. For Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod and struck the dust of the earth, and it became lice on man and beast. All the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Egypt. Now the magicians so worked with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not. So there were lice on man and beast. Then the magicians said to Pharaoh, “This is the finger of God.” But Pharaoh’s heart grew hard, and he did not heed them, just as the Lord had said (Exodus 8:17-19).
How great are His signs, and how mighty His wonders! His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and His dominion is from generation to generation (Daniel 4:3).
In all the signs and wonders which the Lord sent him to do in the land of Egypt, before Pharaoh, before all his servants, and in all his land (Deuteronomy 34:11).
